    Two NOPD officers injured while responding to disturbance call in Gentilly

    NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — Three people, including two people New Orleans police officers, were injured during a disturbance call in Gentilly on Monday, July 22.

    The New Orleans Police Department reported the officers were at a home in the 3500 block of Franklin Avenue when the injuries happened.

    Details about what caused the injuries weren’t released. Though, the NOPD is classifying the situation as an aggravated battery by cutting.

    Both officers were taken to a hospital for treatment. There’s no word on the conditions of any of the three victims at this time.

    According to the NOPD, one person has been apprehended at the scene.
