    New Orleans police searching for car in fatal I-610 crash

    NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Department are looking to identify and locate a car believed to be involved in a fatal crash that happened on Interstate 610 West on Wednesday, July 17.

    The NOPD reported officers responded to a crash involving a Chevrolet Camaro and an 18-wheeler on Interstate 610 West near the Elysian Fields exit around 5:50 a.m.

    They said the driver of the Chevrolet Camaro was pronounced dead at the scene.

    On Tuesday, July 23, the NOPD released a photo of a car that they believe to be involved with the crash.

    According to the NOPD, the car is described as a white Acura that should have damage to its driver’s side. Investigators said the driver allegedly fled the scene
