Saints' Cam Jordan highlights group that just missed NFL's Top 100 list

New Orleans Saints defensive end Cam Jordan has been a model of consistency for more than a decade in the league. Prior to this past season, Jordan made six straight Pro Bowls and put up double-digit sacks in four of those six seasons. He’s consistently been one of the best defensive linemen in the league, and even in somewhat of a down season in 2023, he was still productive -- though perhaps not by his lofty standards.

That production saw Jordan just miss out on being named to the NFL’s top 100 list. The league has been slowly unveiling their top 100 list – as voted on by players around the league, and Monday the league unveiled their list of players who were just on the outside looking in. The players who fell in the 110-101 range, and that’s where we find Jordan, coming in at 110 on the list.

Jordan’s absence from the list marks the first time he’s missed out on the honor since the 2017 season – perhaps not coincidentally, the last time prior to this season that Jordan missed the Pro Bowl, too. While Jordan played in all 17 games in 2023, he was significantly hampered by an ankle injury. That injury led to a dip in production that saw Jordan put up the lowest numbers of his stellar career since his rookie season of 2011.
