Popular Kingston Restaurant Closing After 50+ Years
A legendary place to eat in Kingston has announced it will be closing its doors after serving the area for more than five decades. Kingston, New York is known for many things. On the history side, it was the first capital of New York State it is one of the only cities in the area that has three districts listed on the National Register of Historic Places, including the uptown Stockade District, the Midtown Neighborhood Broadway Corridor, and the Rondout-West Strand Historic District downtown.

Eastern Equine Encephalitis kills Ulster County horse
KINGSTON – A horse in the hamlet of Wallkill has died from Eastern Equine Encephalitis, the State Health Department said. There is no risk of infected horses spreading the virus to humans or other horses as EEE is transmitted from mosquito bites, and there are currently no confirmed human cases in the state.
