Steward to close two Ohio hospitals, Pennsylvania facility at risk
Steward is closing two Ohio hospitals with another in Pennsylvania at high risk of closure as the health system continues to limp through bankruptcy. The closures of Trumbull Regional Medical Center and Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital, both in Warren, Ohio, come after Steward failed to find a buyer for the facilities. The hospitals will start closing on or around Sept. 20, according to the system.

Whirledge and Jazz Band to perform
GREENVILLE — Concerts in the Park will feature the Greenville Municipal Jazz Band at the Marling Band Shell in the beautiful Greenville City Park. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25. The concert will feature the wonderful vocal stylings of Chelsea Whirledge with the band. You will hear wonderful jazz, pop and rock music in the beautiful Marling Band Shell located in the Greenville City Park.

Francis “Butch” DeLaet, left, of Sidney, is presented with the Shelby County United Way’s 2024 Volunteer Apex Award by Shelby County United Way president and CEO Karla Young, of Fort Loramie. The award ceremony was held at Agape where DeLaet volunteers his time. DeLaet drives pickup and delivery trucks for Agape and typically volunteers over 40 hours per week. Agape pantry manager Mike McRill credited him for keeping the operation running. DeLaet also has long been affiliated with the Houston Community Association and was a board member of the organization for 13 years.
