Tampa Prepares for String of Showers and Thunderstorms as NWS Predicts High Precipitation
The Tampa area is bracing for a series of thunderstorms and showers, with the National Weather Service predicting a high chance of precipitation over the coming days. According to NWS Tampa, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected today, with mostly sunny skies giving way to showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 5pm. Temperatures could soar near 94 degrees, with heat index values reaching up to 103 degrees. The chance of rain today is listed at 60%, along with potential rainfall between three quarters and one inch.
