Minn. man pleads guilty in armed robbery case
BARRON COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) - A Minnesota man pleaded guilty Friday in the armed robbery and assault of an elderly man in Barron in December. Court documents show that on July 19, 33-year-old Ryan Charpentier of Little Canada, Minn., pleaded guilty to armed robbery as party to a crime with an increased penalty for an elder person victim. Charpentier was charged as one of two suspects in the armed robbery and assault of an elderly man in Barron, Wis., on Dec. 19, 2023.

Yesterday, I-35 was shut down just south of Northfield for several hours due to a standoff between law enforcement and one man with a handgun. According to a statement issued by the Rice County Sheriff’s Office, the 41-year-old man stopped his vehicle on northbound Interstate 35 just outside of the Faribault city limits. The suspect exited the vehicle, produced a handgun, and made his way into the southbound traffic lanes.

Statewide Missing Person Alert For 17-Year-Old Minnesota Girl
Sartell, MN (KROC-AM News) - A statewide alert has been issued for a missing Minnesota teenager. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says 17-year-old Kaydence Johnson has been missing for 30 days and is now considered and endangered missing person. The alert says she and another teenage girl ran away from a residence in the City of Sartell on June 22.
