    2022-03-21

New River Fine Art is proud to announce its participation in Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary 2022 art fair with “Colorology”. Located at the Palm Beach Convention Center, the art fair will run March 24th – 27th and showcase a number of world-renowned artists.

New River will have investment quality pieces on display at Booth H9 from artists such as Dominic Besner, Mr. Brainwash, Andrew Cotton, Estella Fransbergen, Jennifer JL Jones, Marlene Rose, and Hunt Slonem.

Each artist uses color as a tool, mechanism and dominant feature in their artworks to seduce the viewer. The artistic approaches and use of bright, bold colors in the artist’s aesthetics truly maximize the theme that is “Colorology”.

Attendees of the fair can expect to see influences from Art-World Bad Boys, Buddhas, Bodies, and Banksy that make for a playful Pop Art pageantry of yellows, reds, greens, and blues in the works.

Gracing the fair’s entrance will be a blue mosaic bunny towering over 13 feet created by Hunt Slonem. The bunny, named Thunderbunny, has had a long awaited arrival. Traveling all the way from Seattle enroute to West Palm Beach, Thunderbunny will arrive just in time to greet his art-loving guests.

Over fifty museums internationally include Slonems’s work in their collections, among them The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

When asked about the work, Slonem said “It's been a dream of mine to work in mosaic on such a monumental scale. I've explored the medium over the last 40 years but feel the impact of this piece is what I've been striving for my entire life. I couldn't be happier to officially launch Thunderbunny with New River Fine Art at Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary”.

Another work on display is a carefully crafted sail by Andrew Cotton. The sail, with playful imagery of Sean Connery & Ursala Andress, will benefit Gold Star Sailing, a 501c3 dedicated to offering children who have lost a parent in service to the military exceptional experiences and sailing camps taught by our country’s leading champion sailors. This work, like much of Cotton’s, exemplifies his edgy style and explores the abstract.

The “Colorology” exhibit has curated selections that are both magnificent and melodramatic. Whether you are looking for portrait paintings, exquisitely bejeweled feminine sculptures, or even meditative glassworks, color and quality will be present in all displayed works.
