    Heating up at ND Country Fest’s 3rd day

    NEW SALEM, N.D. ( KXNET ) — New Salem is rocking this weekend with thousands of country music fans out to enjoy some fun in the sun. This is the 7th annual Country Fest and Friday marked the 3rd day of the 4-day country music festival.

    This year is expected to be the largest year yet in attendees and vendors. A crowd of around 75,000 people are expected to attend over the course of the 4-day weekend.

    Friday kicked off with the War Hippies at 4:30 P.M. Then, Ned Ledoux and Ty Hernon following behind. Diamond Rio will play some tunes. And, no he’s not ‘Somewhere on a Beach’, he’s right here in North Dakota, Dierks Bently is the final act of the night on Friday as the festivals top headliner this year.

    The fun doesn’t stop there. On Saturday, Out of Line will start things out. Then, Pam Tillis, followed by Chancy Williams. Then, the Frontmen take the stage, and at 10:45 P.M., Riley Green will end the night.
