VALLEY CITY, ND (NewsDakota.com) Changes to high school football have put the existing co-op between Valley City and Barnes County North in question. The 2025-26 football plan sets the cutoff separating the upper levels and lower levels at 150 male students in grades 7-10, an element to classification that attempts to gauge the future of a program based on incoming enrollment.
Homeward Animal Shelter in urgent need of fosters or adopters

Motorcycle rider hurt after being hit by SUV in Grand Forks
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (Valley News Live) - One person was sent to the hospital after a motorcycle was hit by an SUV in Grand Forks, Tuesday. Grand Forks Police say it happened in the 2000 blocks of Demers Ave around 2:50pm. They say a woman named Mary Solberg was turning her motorcycle south onto South 20th Street when a Jeep driven by Skylar Reiff, 29, of Grand Forks drove through a green light and hit her.
