    Titans battle the elements in New Ulm Invite

    Thursday afternoon, the Tri-City United golf team traveled to New Ulm to battle a loaded field and brutal winds in a six-team invitational hosted by the Eagles. The boys, led by Eian O’Keefe finished with a team score of 403 in the 18-hole event while the duo of girls, led by Payton Huffman, finished with a combined score of 231.

    O’Keefe’s team-leading round of 86 featured five pars including three of the last five holes. Trenton Pelowski finished second among the Titans golfers, posting a round of 103 while Carter Beulke finished with a score of 105. Jacob Nuebauer rounded out the team scorers for TCU with a round of 109 while Tyler Gogerty and Karson Malecha finished with rounds of 115 and 125 respectively.

    Huffman led the Titans girls with a round of 111 which featured a trio of par holes and Neysa Anderson finished the day with a round of 120.

    TCU golf is scheduled to return to the links Tuesday, April 23 with the girls hosting an MRC meet in Montgomery while the boys travel to Le Sueur Country Club for the rescheduled conference opener. Both events are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
