PLAINFIELD, NJ — While the Plainfield Public School held a ribbon cutting for its new track and turf field on Friday, September 20, right before the football team's 41-0 rout of Perth Amboy, the facilities have not yet opened to the public as the finishing touches are made.On Monday, the Plainfield Board of Education reported that the track required two additional layers of stenciling to finalize the lane markings and that additional district branding needed to be added.
