Patrol reminding motorists to drive sober, buckle up ahead of Labor Day weekend
(Council Bluffs) -- KMAland motorists are reminded to drive sober and plan ahead for the upcoming holiday weekend. The Iowa State Patrol is among the law enforcement agencies partnering with the Governor's Traffic Safety Bureau to participate in the national "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign through Labor Day weekend. Trooper Ryan Devault is the public resource officer with the patrol's District 3 office in Council Bluffs. Devault tells KMA News that along with law enforcement's increased presence on the roadways, motorists can take a few steps to stay safe as travelers celebrate the unofficial end of summer.
