Seneca County health board plans to fight WIN Waste landfill expansion decision

The board agreed at its Sept. 26 meeting to challenge the decision. The actual appeal hadn’t been filed as of Tuesday afternoon with the Environmental Review Appeals Commission, the state body with authority to overturn Ohio EPA decisions. But health board spokesman Erika Handru confirmed that the board’s filing would be made with that commission soon. Fostoria City Council and Seneca County Commissioners also have passed resolutions in support of the health board’s upcoming appeal.
