In a move set to delight seafood enthusiasts across New York City, Greek restaurant Avra Estiatorio has announced its expansion with a new location, the New York Post was first to report .

Avra Estiatorio is headed to a NYC landmark — The Penn District’s Farley Building, at 350 W 33rd St. Co-Owner Nick Pashalis confirmed the news to What Now New York but was not immediately available to comment.

The new location, which will be The Avra Group’s fourth in the city joining 48th Street, Madison, and Rockefeller Center, promises to capture the essence of Avra’s success while offering patrons a unique dining experience when it opens in 2025.

With its commitment to sourcing the freshest seafood and using traditional Greek cooking techniques, Avra has garnered a loyal following since its inception.

Outside of Manhattan, Avra Estiatorio has outposts in Los Angeles and Miami.

“We would either grill the fish over charcoals or slice it thin and drizzle it with olive oil from our family farm, lemon and salt,” Co-Founder Nick Tsoulos writes on the company’s website about cooking fish in the coastal Greek village of Nafpaktos where he was born and raised. “Along with the fish, we ate salads made with produce from our garden, spinach pies and other hot dishes that my grandmother cooked. The adults also drank plenty of great local wine.”

“Tsoulos never forgot these beloved culinary traditions when his family immigrated to Astoria, in Queens, New York,” according to the Avra website. “After opening several restaurants including a Greek taverna on Manhattan’s Upper East Side in 1990 called Trata, [Tsoulos] was inspired to create a spot where he could bring a taste of Nafpaktos to New York.”
