Nana’s Green Tea Arrives In NoMad

Nana’s Green Tea announced the opening of its debut New York City location at 1250 Broadway, in the heart of the NoMad neighborhood. This significant milestone celebrates Nana’s Green Tea’s commitment to introducing the authentic Japanese tea culture and modern café lifestyle to the bustling streets of Manhattan, starting March 1, 2024.

As the number one matcha concept café by store number, with a legacy spanning over 73 stores in Japan and additional locations globally, Nana’s Green Tea is known for its innovative approach to traditional Japanese tea consumption. The new 1,700 sqft store in New York, featuring 70 seats, is a testament to the brand’s “New Japanese Style,” which seamlessly blends modern design with the essence of a traditional Japanese tea room. Original artworks like “Cha-tsuru,” “Tale of Genji,” and “Cha-bana” adorn the space, creating an inviting atmosphere reminiscent of a traditional tea house.

The design concept of Nana’s Green Tea, termed a “Modern Tea Ceremony House,” incorporates wood and stainless steel in minimalist black, white, and natural tones. This distinctive aesthetic has led to international recognition, including awards like the 2018 International Design Awards and the 2020 CafeRes Design Award.

Kyung Rim Choi, the visionary behind this franchise and leader of Group KFF Inc., emphasizes the brand’s mission in a statmenet: “Nana’s Green Tea is not just about serving tea; it’s about offering a bridge between the traditional Japanese tea culture and the modern lifestyle. Our New York City location is a culmination of this vision, providing a space where everyone can discover and enjoy the rich heritage of matcha as part of their daily lives.”

Matcha Parfait : A layered delight with premium matcha and locally sourced seasonal fruits.
Matcha Latte Frappe : A refreshing blend of rich matcha and creamy milk, served cold.
Matcha Top Grade Espresso : A bold, concentrated matcha shot, offering the essence of matcha in its purest form.
