Nan Xiang Express Debuts in Manhattan With a New Location in Hell’s Kitchen

Nan Xiang Express, known for its authentic Shanghainese dim sum and Michelin-recommended soup dumplings, announced the opening of its first Manhattan location in the vibrant neighborhood of Hell’s Kitchen on April 26, 2024. Situated at 654 9th Ave, New York, NY 10036, this new location is the fifth of all Nan Xiang Express locations and marks a milestone in the growth journey of Nan Xiang Express, as it strategically expands its presence into the heart of New York City.

Nestled next to Restaurant Row, the new location introduces signature dishes including Xiao Long Bao aka Soup Dumplings, Crispy Bottom Buns, and Signature Braised Beef Soup. It also features a late-night menu perfectly paired with Chinese beer, sake, and soju.

The space, spanning 1000 square feet with 30 seats, features a brightly-lit open kitchen with full-height viewing windows and is designed with custom white oak furniture and murals inspired by the local Hell’s Kitchen community. The restaurant is equipped with modern ordering kiosks and mobile ordering options to cater to the fast-paced lifestyle of New York City diners.

“With the opening of our Hell’s Kitchen location, we’re not just expanding our footprint; we’re creating a new community hub for food lovers and night owls alike,” states Michael Ma, a representative for Nan Xiang Express in a statement. “We’re in good company with a variety of food options from all regions, both casual and refined. Nan Xiang Express’ expansion journey continues with a commitment to opening more locations, including one on the Upper West Side in Manhattan, South End Boston, Philadelphia, and at Mercer Mall in New Jersey.

Nan Xiang Express in Hell’s Kitchen will be open daily from 11 AM to 2:30 AM. To celebrate the grand opening on May 9, 2024, the store will offer VIP cards to the first 100 customers and a unique BINGO game for the next 100 customers, adding an element of excitement to the dining experience.
