DeCamara & Ritchie: Will fans want Joel Embiid traded if Knicks finish off Sixers?

With the Sixers on the brink of elimination, Joe DeCamara wondered what percentage of fans would be ready to trade Joel Embiid if the Knicks finish off Philly in game five on Tuesday night in New York.

“What percentage would say that it’s time to trade Joel Embiid?” Joe asked, before adding that he would not be in the camp that voted in favor of trading the reigning MVP. “I’m not yet ready to trade him when I know what that represents, which is totally starting over.”

Jon Ritchie believes the majority of the fanbase would be in favor of trading Embiid, as the continuous disappointment in the wake of The Process is starting to wear on the fanbase.

“My gut says it’s gonna be more than 50/50,” Ritchie said. “This is one where I have been so steadfast, and believed they could get this thing in gear, and Joel could change his spots. I no longer feel like that’s reasonable to expect. This Process, I think it has broken me.”
