Rangers vs. Panthers: schedule, results, TV info for Eastern Conference Final playoff series

The New York Rangers will open the Eastern Conference Final against the Florida Panthers at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, May 22. They will play every other day throughout the series, which could conclude with Game 7 on Monday, June 3 at The Garden, if necessary.

The Rangers have five days in between games, time to rest and reset after they defeated the Carolina Hurricanes in six games in the Eastern Conference Second Round. They finished off the Hurricanes with an improbable 5-3 comeback win in Raleigh on Thursday.

After establishing franchise records for wins (55) and points (114) during the regular season, the Rangers are 8-2 so far in the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Presidents’ Trophy winners swept the Washington Capitals in the first round and then ran their winning streak to seven games when they won their first three games against the Hurricanes.

The Panthers eliminated the Boston Bruins with a 2-1 win in Game 6 on the road Friday. The Atlantic Division champions defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning in five games in the first round of these playoffs. Last season, Florida was the Stanley Cup runner-up, losing to the Vegas Golden Knights in five games in the Cup Final.

New Yok was 1-2-0 against Florida this season.
