GH’s Josh Kelly and Chloe Lanier Are Dating!

When fans attended the “Men of General Hospital” events held by Coastal Entertainment the first weekend of June in New York, they also got a bonus “Woman of GH!” In addition to the scheduled attendees of Donnell Tuner (Curtis), James Patrick Stuart (Valentin), and Josh Kelly (Cody), they also got to see Kelly’s new girlfriend, Chloe Lanier (ex-Nelle)!

For the weekend’s first event, Lanier showed up dressed as Kelly, even wearing a fake beard and baseball cap! For the second gathering, she dressed like herself in a Rolling Stones tee and headband. Kelly informed the fans surprised to see Lanier at the dinner that they were dating, and posed for pics together.

Lanier made a big impression when she first appeared on GH back in 2015 as a young Patricia Spencer as part of the soap’s anniversary storyline that year. It was only for a couple of episodes, but the soap was so impressed with her talent, they brought her back to play the newly created role of Nelle Benson the following year in 2016. After her run ended in 2018, she returned in the fall of that year for multiple appearances before rejoining full-time in 2019. Although her character was killed off in 2020, she did reprise her role for one episode in 2022 and many fans still hope Nelle isn’t really dead and will be back one day. Lanier was nominated for the Outstanding Younger Actress Daytime Emmy Award each year between 2017 and 2019 and took home the trophy in 2018.

Kelly joined GH in 2022 in the role of Mac’s son, Cody Bell, so he was a member of the cast when Lanier made her appearance in the Sept. 6 episode that year, though obviously they didn’t work together. Before arriving in Port Charles, the actor was well known to ABC soap fans as Cutter Wentworth on One Life to Live, a role he played from 2010 until the soap’s end in 2011 and again for the short-lived online revival in 2013.

Who knows, maybe if GH decides to reveal that Nelle survived that fall from the cliff, maybe she could come between Cody and Sasha! In soaps, anything is possible! But in real life, Kelly and Lanier make a very cute couple and we hope they’re very happy together!
