Minnelli is anticipated to appear at the Tribeca Film Festival, where her documentary, Liza: A Truly Terrific Absolutely True Story, is set to premiere. The 78-year-old star received a personal invitation to the event from her longtime friend and former New York costar, Robert De Niro.

Despite her eagerness to attend, a recent report by Allison Boshoff of the Daily Mail disclosed that Minnelli would be unable to make the trip. The reporter revealed that the actress’s health issues prevent her from enduring the demanding and lengthy journey required to attend the festival.

In addition to these issues, the actress has suffered several serious injuries, such as broken wrists in 2013, followed by a broken back in 2014.
