Glizzy’s NYC, a specialty hot dog counter concept, will make its first food hall appearance at Pier 57’s Market 57, after hosting a series of pop-up locations. Opening on June 15, the opening will bring a unique and globally-inspired hot dog experience to the Manhattan food hall.

Glizzy’s Market 57 menu will feature 10 signature hot dogs, each a nod to a different cuisine or cultural tradition. Menu highlights include the Jamaican-style “Sean Paul” made with jerk smoked brisket, coleslaw, and Mike’s Hot Honey sauce; a Texas-style smoked brisket chili “Houston, We Got A Problem” made with cheddar cheese sauce and chopped fried onions; and a Korean-style “Mr. Lee” made with kimchi, furikake, scallions, fried garlic, Korean BBQ sauce and sesame oil. In addition to its signature selections, Glizzy’s will offer a build-your-own dog menu with more than two dozen toppings and sauces such as smoked brisket, fried shallots, garlic breadcrumbs, harissa sauce, and curry ranch.

Initially founded in 2022 by friends Johnny Huynh, Rachel Jiang, and Nikki Yam, Glizzy’s NYC was born out of a desire to reinvent the classic hot dog with a modern twist.

“We were immediately attracted to the bustling and lively energy at Market 57 and knew it would be the perfect fit for Glizzy’s,” said Johnny Huynh, co-owner of Glizzy’s NYC in a statement. “It’s an exciting opportunity to join the diverse and talented company at the Market and share our signature hot dogs with the community of families, foodies, and tourists alike.”

Together, Huynh, Jiang, and Yam recognized the need for a nostalgic yet innovative late-night snack spot in New York City. Motivated by an internet trend, the trio set out to transform the simple pleasure of eating a hot dog into something special, infused with new and exciting flavors.

As an AAPI-owned business, Glizzy’s NYC joins the roster of diverse, authentic food concepts at Market 57, bringing its globally inspired hot dogs to the vibrant food hall. The founders’ dedication to the business and providing a unique dining experience has led to Glizzy’s pop-ups at music festivals across the country, including Electric Zoo, Moonrise Festival, and WeFest and local events at venues such as Under the K Bridge and Brooklyn Hangar. The company is also actively involved in the local community with a commitment to giving back, partnering with local organizations like the Brooklyn Surf Club to donate hot dogs for community members.

Focused on women- and BIPOC-owned food concepts, Market 57 serves as a platform for emerging chefs and food entrepreneurs who have been underrepresented in the culinary industry. Curated by Jamestown with input from the James Beard Foundation, Market 57’s vendors are aligned with the Foundation’s mission of championing a standard of good food anchored in talent, equity, and sustainability.

Market 57 is located on 15th Street and the West Side Highway in Hudson River Park, between Little Island and Chelsea Piers, and is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
