NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A giant inflatable dragon was spotted on the Empire State Building on Monday—part of a promotional stunt for the second season of the HBO series "House of the Dragon."

The 270-foot installation of Vhagar the Dragon appeared on Sunday and will stay up until Wednesday, June 19.

According to organizers, 132 feet of the true-to-size dragon replica covers the mast and is anchored onto the building at 153 points.

The Empire State Building is offering limited-time tickets to get "up close and personal" with Vhagar and sit on the legendary Iron Throne at its observation deck. The building is also being illuminated green for the promotion.

Photos on social media Monday showed the inflatable dragon visible from all over the area, including from Queens and Jersey City.

It's part of Max's "Raise Your Banners" campaign, which has NYC institutions, sports teams, brands and local businesses pledging their loyalty to either Team Green or Team Black, two opposing factions in "House of the Dragon," which is a spinoff of "Game of Thrones."

The campaign began last Monday, when the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges raised banners for Team Green and Team Black, respectively.

Since then, the New York Stock Exchange, Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Terminal and Citi Field have also unfurled banners to support the Black or Green teams.

Businesses across the city have taken part, as well; Leon’s Bagels, John’s of Bleecker, Mile End Delicatessen, and The Flower Shop pledged their allegiance to Team Green, while Murray’s Bagels, Roberta’s, Gray’s Papaya, and Ray’s pledged their allegiance to Team Black.
