Lupita Nyong’o Gives Power Suiting a Sensual Spin in Double-breasted Blazer and High-waisted Shorts for ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’ Photo Call

Lupita Nyong’o joined her “ A Quiet Place: Day One ” costars for a photo call to promote the forthcoming horror film in New York City on Monday. The cast posed for photos at the Empire State Building prior to the film’s release on Thursday.

For the occasion, Nyong’o put her own sultry spin on power suiting. The actress fashioned a double-breasted blazer, short shorts and sheer black stockings with intricate detailing.

Nyong’o’s blazer had a fitted silhouette and double buttons running down the front placket. To complete her monochrome look, she wore pointed-toe black heels with a thin buckle strap at the ankle.

Along with her Dolce & Gabanna attire, Nyong’o fashioned glittering jewelry, including a bold statement necklace, from De Beers . Nyong’o starred in a campaign for the jewelry brand in October 2022 as De Beers’ first global ambassador .

While outside taking photos, the “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” star wore a pair of black sunglasses courtesy of Silhouette. She posed alongside costars Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff and Djimon Hounsou.

Nyong’o’s hair was styled by Vernon François, while her makeup, which featured a pop of color with a red berry lip, was done by Nick Barose. Nyong’o’s look was curated by stylist Micaela Erlanger , who’s also collaborated with Meryl Streep and Kelly Clarkson, among others.

Prior to her photo call with the “A Quiet Place: Day One” cast on Monday, Nyong’o made an appearance on “Late Night With Seth Meyers.” For her time on Wednesday’s episode, Nyong’o put another twist on a classic wardrobe staple. She opted for a little black dress with fringe elements on the skirt by fashion label Mônot .

Nyong’o stars in “A Quiet Place: Day One,” the prequel to 2018’s “A Quiet Place.” The film is the third installment in the “Quiet Place” franchise, following 2020’s “A Quiet Place: Part II.” It chronicles the invasion of an alien species that attacks anything based on sound. The film hits theaters June 27.
