This is going to be the last day of a heatwave that has coverned much of the Northeast and Northern Mid Atlantic states and it is going ot be the worst day! Hot temperatures of 95 to 100 degrees will be common in a stretch from Washington DC to Philadelphia and New York City. Humidity leves will be off the wall making for extreme discomfort. To top it off we have thunderstorms and severe weather risk which is exceptionally elevated in parts of New England. The risk for severe storms covers the Eastern US from Virginia to Maine.
