Tyrese Haliburton got real about his friendship with Knicks stars Mikal Bridges, Jalen Brunson, and Josh Hart. Haliburton shared his excitement over the three teaming up on the Knicks after Bridges was traded , revealing the four are in a group chat together, joking about having proof of tampering.

“I’m excited to compete against them and see those guys together. I think what people forget is that we’re all friends… It’s true…We have a group chat. I have a group chat with those guys. So, it’s me, Mikal, Josh, and Jalen. So, if there’s any tampering evidence needed, I’m the guy to come to.”

Haliburton said their friendship blossomed during the 2023 FIBA World Cup, as all four were on Team USA together.

"We all played for USA together last year at the World Cup, so we became close that way. But yeah, I am excited to compete against those guys, no question."

Haliburton's Pacers took down the Knicks in the second round of the Playoffs this season, though the Knicks were severely hampered by injuries. Given the history behind the rivalry between these franchises, it's odd to see the leader of the Pacers reveal he's in a group chat with three Knicks starters, but friendships in the modern NBA are deep.

Haliburton will hope he and Pascal Siakam can supercharge the Pacers enough to not only take down the Knicks but also teams like the Celtics, Bucks, and 76ers.

Tyrese Haliburton Wonders If Mikal Bridges' Iron Man Streak Will Continue Under Tom Thibodeau

Bridges is one of the most durable players in the NBA, not having missed any games since high school . He will now play under coach Tom Thibodeau, who's known to play his stars big minutes regardless of the situation.

Haliburton openly wondered if Bridges' streak of playing games would continue under Thibodeau's aggressive rotation.

"Mikal Bridges has missed like no games in his career. We're testing the human ability here, because Mikal Bridges doesn't miss any games, and Thibs almost play him 48 minutes, so who's gonna win? We're gonna see. If they're healthy, they'll have a lot of bodies. You got Brunson, Hart, Mikal, Julius Randle will be back, and Mitchell Robinson will still be there. Hartenstein probably will be gone."

Bridges' good friend Hart can explain to him how draining it can be when Thibodeau decides you need to play full games without a rest . Given Bridges' versatility on the court and ability to guard four positions, Thibs will rely on the talented swingman heavily over next season.

Mikal averaged 19.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.6 assists last season with the Nets. He'll form arguably one of the best perimeter defense duos with OG Anunoby after the forward re-signed on a five-year, $212.5 million contract .
