Patrick Kane Potential Reunion With Rangers Picking Up Steam

Things are heating up regarding a possible reunion between Patrick Kane and the New York Rangers.

It has been widely speculated that the Rangers may have interest in signing Kane this summer. The New York Post’s Larry Brooks confirmed these rumors even further.

“But it is our best information that the Blueshirts have their eyes trained on a reunion with Kane, whose 19-game cameo following the 2023 deadline, when he was compromised because of hip issues, left everyone wanting more,” Brooks wrote.

The superstar forward needs no introduction.

While not being what he once was during his days with the Chicago Blackhawks, Kane is still a player that can produce at a high level and he showed that this season.

Coming off of hip surgery, the 35-year-old was still able to record 20 goals, 27 assists and 47 points in 50 games.

Kane was traded to the Rangers from Chicago during the 2023-23 season. Unfortunately, a nagging hip injury derailed and greatly affected his time in New York.

Even at his age, Kane is a top-six forward and his play on top of his overall presence in the locker room would be a major asset for the Rangers to add.

The big question is does Kane even want to come back to New York and what sort of contract is he seeking?

Both of those questions are unclear at the moment.

The one thing that does seem to be clear though is that the Rangers interest in Kane is very much real.
