    Rangers’ Mika Zibanejad, Adam Fox make first Four Nations Face-Off rosters

    LAS VEGAS — Two Rangers made the first cut of players for the 2025 Four Nations Face-Off.

    Mika Zibanejad (Sweden) and Adam Fox (United States) were both announced as part of the first six members of their respective countries on Friday ahead of the NHL draft.

    On Sweden, Zibanejad joins the Lightning’s Victor Hedman, the Penguins’ Erik Karlsson, the Panthers’ Gustav Forsling, the Predators’ Filip Forsberg and the Maple Leafs’ William Nylander.

    Fox was announced alongside the Canucks’ Quinn Hughes, the Bruins’ Charlie McAvoy, the Golden Knights’ Jack Eichel, the Panthers’ Matthew Tkachuk and the Maple Leafs’ Auston Matthews.

    The NHL’s Four Nations Face-Off is set to take place from Feb. 12-20, in place of what is usually a time for All-Star weekend.

    Teams will play each other in a round-robin format before one-game finals between the two top-placed countries.

    Games will be hosted in both Montreal and Boston.

    Team Canada’s first six players included the Penguins’ Sidney Crosby, the Avalanche’s Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar, the Bruins’ Brad Marchand, the Oilers’ Connor McDavid and the Lightning’s Brayden Point.

    Stanley Cup-winning Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov headlines Team Finland, which also added the Predators’ Juuse Saros, the Stars’ Miro Heiskanen and Esa Lindell, the Hurricanes’ Sebastian Aho and the Avalanche’s Mikko Rantanen to round out its first six players.
