The cause of death for TikToker Eva Evans has been revealed.
The content creator was found dead this past April at the age of 29. At the time, her cause of death was not disclosed. TMZ reported that her cause of death was suicide on June 28. A NYC medical examiner told the outlet that Eva died after hanging herself in her NYC apartment on April 20.
In TMZ's previous report of her death in April, law enforcement sources said that a friend found Eva hanging inside her apartment after they went to check on her with a key they had to her apartment. They had last seen her the previous morning.

When paramedics and police arrived at the scene, the paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene. The friend let the cops know they didn't know the filmmaker to be depressed or emotionally disturbed.
TMZ sources said a note was present but what it said was unclear at this point.
Eva had gained over 300,000 TikTok followers and would make humorous informative content about life in the Big Apple as a 20-something woman. She also created a web comedy series called Club Rat that followed a influencer who “attempts to re-enter the chaotic New York City dating scene after a candid video of her humiliating breakup goes viral,” according to its synopsis on Prime. The 5-episode web series is on the streaming service.
On April 21, Eva's sister Lila Joy Baumgardner took to Instagram to announce the tragic news.
“Yesterday my family received news that our sweet, fabulous, creative, caring, hilarious Eva, my beautiful sister, has died,” Lily wrote.
“After 24 hours, I still find myself in a constant cycle of denial and acceptance, so I know how unbelievable and hard to process this news will be … I wish I had Eva here now to refer to because she would have better words and know how to say what I don’t,” Lily added.
In the post that had a photo of Eva smiling wearing a colorful patterned dress, Lily told followers that a celebration of Eva was being held Tuesday, April 23 in the evening at lower Manhattan. She asked for people to DM her so she could get a headcount of the attendance and share further details.
In a following post on the same day of April 21, Lily announced a public service at Grace Church on April 23 at 4 pm "due to the overwhelming response regarding Eva's celebration of life."
There were many tributes that poured out for the late 29-year-old. Actress and model Julia Fox made a stitched TikTok video with a touching tribute.
“She was a TikTok star and a New York icon. I always saw her like a little sister and I knew she looked up to me,” Julia said tearfully. “She was so young. Still had so much to do in life. But she lived life to the fullest.”
