The New York Rangers selected Raoul Boilard, Nathan Aspinall and Rico Gredig with their fourth, fifth and sixth round picks.

The Rangers started off the day by drafting Boilard with the 119th overall pick. The 18-year-old center recorded 22 goals, 40 assists and 62 points in 68 games for the Baie-Comeau Drakkar of the QMJHL.

“Skilled, creative prospect,” Sportsnet’s Jason Bukala wrote. “Makes plays off the rush and in small areas in the offensive zone. Solid and agile skater. Playmaker on the power play who’s equal parts shooter and distributor. Always in motion. Good size but doesn’t play with physical pushback. Average defensive detail – he’s not a liability, but it’s not his area of strength. Projects as a potential third-line forward at even strength, but a skilled forward who should find a role on one of the power play units.”

With the 159th pick, the Rangers selected Aspinall. The 18-year-old forward had 18 goals, 16 assists and 34 points in 65 games for the OHL’s Flint Firebirds.

“He demonstrates strong awareness on the ice, exhibits proficient close-handling skills, possesses a powerful shot, showcases excellent vision, and has a high hockey IQ to complement his abilities. Aspinall lacks a standout skill that guarantees his future as an NHL player, but scouts will appreciate his size,” via the OHL Writers.

To end their 2024 Draft, the Rangers selected Gredig with the 191st pick. The 19-year-old forward tallied two goals, two assists and four points in 28 games while playing in Swiss NL.
