Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been dropped by New York-based law firm Grubman, Shire, Meiselas & Sack amid allegations of rape , physical abuse, and sex trafficking that have been made against the rap mogul.

The firm, which has represented clients such as Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, and Lil Nas X, confirmed its disassociation from Combs, a decision that was reportedly made long before news of the move first surfaced late last week.

“The decision to part ways with Mr. Combs was proactively made by the partners in the firm a number of months ago as they felt it was the right thing to do,” a representative for Grubman, Shire, Meiselas & Sack told Page Six .

It was previously reported that the firm dropping Combs as a client was done at the behest of Lady Gaga, as a source claimed that the pop star threatened to cut ties with Grubman, Shire, Meiselas & Sack if they chose to continue to represent the disgraced hitmaker. “Lady Gaga said she was leaving (the firm) if they didn’t drop Diddy,” the source told News Nation of Gaga’s alleged influence in the decision. “And she’s too big to lose.”

Grubman, Shire, Meiselas & Sack is a major player in the touring industry, having closed massive deals for megastars such as Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, Lizzo, Carly Rae Jespen and more. The firm also worked on Usher’s Las Vegas residency and brokered massive catalog sales for Paul Simon, Sting, the estate of David Bowie and more.

Grubman, Shire, Meiselas & Sack is the latest entity distance itself from Combs, who is currently facing multiple lawsuits from alleged victims claiming he sexually and physically assaulted them and coerced or forced them into commiting sexual acts with himself and others.

The whirlwind surrounding Combs first boiled over in 2023, when his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, filed a $30 million lawsuit against the New York native detailing his alleged violence and misconduct during the relationship. The lawsuit was settled out of court , with Ventura receiving an undisclosed sum as part of the agreement.
