To celebrate his lady and the impending arrival of their baby, Nelly surprised Ashanti with a glamorous baby show, surrounded by family and friends.

The intimate affair was a complete surprise to Ashanti , who was met with excited friends and family, as she and Nelly walked out of an elevator into the Dolce & Gabbana store in New York City.

The mom-to-be, looking radiant in stunning in a yellow and white two-piece maxi skirt and crop top, with her baby bump out, couldn’t stop laughing and smiling the entire time.

In a video shared on Instagram, Nelly is seen talking about the moment he and Ashanti reconnected and had a viral moment during Fat Joe and Ja Rule 's VERZUZ battle, during which he walked across the stage to give Ashanti a hug to "break the ice."

Speaking of — Fat Joe, or should we say cupid himself (since he gives himself credit for the two coming back together) was in attendance at the shower and took to social afterwards to share a message. “Today we had a Baby Shower, I love you my sister I’m sooooooo happy for yall guys GOD IS GREAT @ashanti @nelly @lolamilan1,” he wrote alongside a picture of himself and wife Lorena posing with the happy couple.

Nelly and Ashanti shared the news that they are expecting their first child together back in April, while also revealing their engagement. The couple first began dating back in 2003, broke up in 2013, before rekindling their romance in 2023.
