NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- The Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks will dazzle New York City on Thursday night, with the nation's largest Independence Day pyrotechnics display returning to the Hudson River for the first time in more than a decade.

Here's where to watch the show in person in New York and New Jersey, as well as what the AccuWeather forecast looks like and what roads will be closed in Manhattan for Thursday night's big show.

If you're heading to the show in person, 1010 WINS is the official soundtrack of the Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks and the only place to hear the live musical score as you watch.

    VIEWING LOCATIONS

While 10,000 free tickets for "front row" viewing spots have already been claimed , there will still plenty of places to see the show along the West Side Highway and in Hoboken. Don't head to the East River to watch—the show is on the Hudson River this year.

Fireworks will be launched from five barges positioned between West 14th Street and West 34th Street in Manhattan starting at 9:25 p.m. ET.

    WEATHER FORECAST

According to AccuWeather, every day this week will feature a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the low to mid-80s.

The main storm threat happens to be on the Fourth of July, when thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon and evening. The storms could impact the Macy's fireworks, but the outlook currently favors a dry show. It will otherwise be a humid 80 degrees for the show.
