Sabrina Ionescu Made Her Opinion of Caitlin Clark Extremely Clear

On Saturday afternoon, Sabrina Ionescu and the New York Liberty will face off against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever in a highly-anticipated matchup.

Saturday's game marks the fourth Fever-Liberty matchup of the 2024 season — and the fourth matchup between Clark and Ionescu.

Ionescu and Clark go "way back." During a press conference earlier this year, Ionescu said she hosted Clark and her father for a recruiting visit at Oregon when Clark was a high schooler.

Ionescu was asked to share her thoughts on Clark as she begins her WNBA career as the Fever's No. 1 overall pick. The Liberty point guard's comments are resurfacing on social media before Saturday's game.

"She's so young. She's going to be able to continue to learn and grow," ionescu said of Clark. "Times like this is when you figure out what you're really made of. How you continue to improve as a teammate, as a basketball player, as a person.

"... I just know she's gonna continue to work really hard and stick with it. Good things will happen to good people."

Saturday's Fever-Liberty matchup will tipoff at 1 p.m. ET in Indiana.
