Fever Coach Christie Sides Getting Blasted For Costly Mistake Against Liberty

The Indiana Fever are locked in a tight battle against the New York Liberty on Saturday.

At halftime of this important WNBA game, Indiana are defeating New York by a score of 39-38.

Despite Indiana rookie Caitlin Clark having 13 points thus far, neither team has looked great on offense.

And the Fever missed a clear opportunity for an extra possession because of a mistake by Fever head coach Christie Sides.

In the waning seconds of the second quarter, Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell was called for stepping out of bounds when trying to pass a ball to Caitlin Clark.

But replay footage showed she clearly didn't step out of bounds.

Yet, Sides decided not to challenge the incorrect call.

And fans are furious at Sides for missing out on this opportunity.

"CHRISTIE SIDES PLEASE IM TRYING TO BE POSITIVE BUT HOW YOU NEVER CHALLENGE????" one angry Fever fan wrote.

"it had literally already left her hands i’m so angry bro SIDES USE YOUR CHALLENGE MAN," another fan added.

A third said that, "I gave up a long time ago expecting sides to challenge anything, she’ll take those challenges to the grave w her".

Tough look for Sides on Saturday.
