Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are again playing another marquee matchup this weekend, this time against the best team in the league.

The Fever (8-13) hosted the first-place New York Liberty (17-3) and the fans who are in attendance or watching the game have been treated to a historic showing from Clark. Something that seemingly happens nearly every game, as she has established herself as one of the best young players in the league.

In this game alone in which had been a close one throughout, Clark broke Sue Bird’s record for most double-doubles with points and assists for a WNBA rookie recording her fourth . However, she didn't stop there as she was also to make some history later in the game that knocked the Liberty's Sabrina Ionescu out of the record books.

With just seven minutes remaining in the game, Clark grabbed a rebound, bumping her stat line to  15 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds, thus giving her a triple-double. Aside from the fact it was her first professional triple-double, it also marked the first time in WNBA history that a rookie recorded a triple-double. Up until this point, it was actually Ionescu who held the record for the youngest player to record one.

Clark and the Fever pulled off the massive upset, winning by a score of 83-78. A mark that pushes their record to 9-13, which has them firmly as the No. 8 team in the league. Clark finished the game with 19 points, 13 assists, 12 rebounds, while also adding two steals.
