INWOOD, N.Y. (PIX11) – In a tragic incident, water rescuers pulled an unresponsive man from the Manhattan waters who drowned on Saturday evening, authorities said.

Three boats were coasting the waters, and a chopper was at the scene searching for the man. Divers were also sent into the waters, a video on the Citizen app showed.

The 28-year-old man was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, the police are unable to identify the man.
