Masked gunman targets and shoots pair of youngsters at NYC McDonald’s as spate of violence against minors continues

A masked gunman walked into a McDonald’s in The Bronx and fired at least six bullets at his targets — a 12-year-old and 13-year-old — before fleeing Saturday night, police and law-enforcement sources said.

The 12-year-old boy was hit in his back and left leg, while his male pal was shot in the left thigh in the brazen attack around 9:50 p.m. at the fast-food eatery at White Plains Road and Mace Avenue, cops said.

Both kids were listed in stable condition at Jacobi Hospital Medical Center, police said.

Police responding to a 911 call at the scene found the two victims wounded outside, law-enforcement sources said.

The shooter was dressed in black with a black hoodie with a pink logo, they said.

Investigators recovered six shell casings at the scene, sources said.

Cops said the motive for the shooting remains under investigation.

The Post reported last month that gun violence targeting teens and youngsters in the city has seen an uptick.

In Brooklyn last month, a 9-year-old girl was struck by a stray bullet while playing with her cousin.

In another troubling case, a 12-year-old boy accidentally shot and killed his 14-year-old cousin in Brooklyn, while two teens were killed and six wounded in a bloody week in the Big Apple in May.
