The New York City man suspected of killing Yazmeen Williams last Friday was met with a furious and vengeful crowd during his arrest earlier this week. Chad Irish, the person of interest was taken into custody on Monday and has since been charged in connection to the killing, according to the NYPD. However, distraught and angry neighbors were not letting him go without a fight.

The anger and frustration over the heinous crime reached its boiling point in the Kips Bay neighborhood when the police apprehended Irish just a stone’s throw away from where Yazmeen’s body was discovered. As the authorities were preparing to transfer him to a gurney, a crowd of enraged community members gathered, unleashing their fury.

Video footage captured the chaotic scene as family and friends of Yazmeen clashed with the police and EMTs, desperately trying to get to Irish. Amidst the chaos, several individuals punched him, while others can be heard pleading for the crowd to take matters into their own hands, even attempting to tear his shirt off.

Despite the hostile environment, the man asserted his innocence, desperately pleading his case to the angry mob. Eventually, he was loaded into an ambulance, which swiftly departed from the scene.

More On What Happened To Yazmeen:

The discovery of Yazmeen’s body has left the community outraged. The 31-year-old woman was found stuffed into garbage bags in front of a building on East 27th Street. The medical examiner’s office has determined that her cause of death was a gunshot wound to her head.

As investigators delve deeper into the case, they are now exploring the possibility of a connection between Yazmeen and the man taken into custody. The Post reports that Nicole, Yazmeen’s mother, claims that the man in the wheelchair knew her daughter, although the exact nature of their relationship remains unclear.

Adding to the evidence, sources have disclosed to FOX 5 NY that the police possess surveillance footage showing a man in an electric wheelchair dragging the bags to the location where Yazmeen’s body was found. However, the motive behind the killing still remains unknown.
