Melania Trump , the former first lady, dazzled attendees at a New York event in a striking red dress as she made a rare appearance to host a fundraiser at Trump Tower .

The aim was to gather support from the Log Cabin Republicans , the largest conservative LGBTQ+ organization. Melania 's rare public backing of her husband helped raise a whopping $1.4 million in a single night, with the goal of securing half of the LGBTQ+ community's votes.

Among the guests were Kellyanne Conway, a former official from the Trump White House, ex-Senator Kelly Loeffler, businessman Bryan Eure and his spouse Bill White, Richard Grenell, the former acting director of U. S. National Intelligence, and philanthropists Nazee and Joseph Moinian.

The first Log Cabin Republicans event took place in April 2017 at the Trumps' Mar-a-Lago estate. It was attended by then-President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Around 60 guests gathered in the Tea Room of the private Palm Beach club, including Caitlyn Jenner, Dr. Mehmet Oz, and Elizabeth Ailes. A Republican party source stated that the group raised "funds to inform voters in crucial swing states about President Trump's LGBT record and his goals for his second term," Interestingly, Melania chose to wear the same red Valentino dress she had worn at the inaugural fundraiser.

One guest gushed to PageSix about the swanky affair, saying: "Hors d'oeuvres and Champagne flowed as the first lady generously welcomed the guests to her home with off-the-cuff remarks."

Another attendee shared their impressions of Melania's speech, revealing: "Melania took photos and gave a beautiful speech about the importance of unity. She also said about the election, 'We will see what happens, but, we must win'".

Richard Grenell, who served as Acting Director of National Intelligence under President Trump in 2020, took to social media to celebrate the event's success on X. He tweeted: "Melania Trump opened her NYC Penthouse tonight to raise money for @LogCabinGOP. It's the first campaign event ever held at the Trump residence. And we raised $1.4 million in one night. Our goal is to get 50% of the gay vote for Donald Trump."

Bryan Eure also took to Instagram to share his excitement about the fundraiser, writing: "The best week in NYC with First Lady Melania Trump @melaniatrump at the second and wonderfully successful @logcabinhq fundraiser in her stunning home which will help us target LGBT and suburban women voters in key swing states to elect President Donald Trump this November. The most important election of our lifetime. Please register to vote now. Donate now. Get involved. Save America and Make America Great Again. God Bless President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump."

It marked Melania's second solo appearance in support of Donald Trump's presidential campaign, following an event she hosted at Mar-a-Lago in April. Interestingly, she was absent from the presidential debate on June 27 and has yet to participate in a political event for her husband this year.

Her public appearances are often contrasted with those of First Lady Jill Biden, who is frequently seen campaigning for Joe Biden. Melania, the former First Lady, has kept a low profile after several weeks in the limelight.

She notably did not accompany Donald to a rally in Milwaukee. Recently, she was spotted carrying a luxurious $30,000 Hermes Birkin bag while exiting a black SUV and entering Trump Tower in June. The last time Melania and Donald were seen together in public was in May at their son Barron's high school graduation ceremony.
