Len Berman & Michael Riedel in the Morning:
There has been an incredible amount of debate over the past two weeks regarding whether President Biden should remain at the top of the Democratic ticket. Democratic strategist Laura Curran joined Len and Michael this week to share her thoughts.
With his recent op-ed piece in The New York Times, George Clooney has become the latest big name to publicly state that Joe Biden ought to step aside and let Democrats pick another candidate for President in 2024. However, unlike the other big names, Clooney is not an elected politician or political commentator; rather, he is a Hollywood star and significant financial donor to the Democrat party.
Do Clooney’s words have any clout, however, with the average New Yorker? Len and Michael spoke with our street reporter Natalie Migliore, who was out with her microphone asking people.
The tempest of emotions unleased by the New York Post report about migrant shelter placement in various zip codes in New York City continues to simmer. Queens politicians and community leaders are especially outraged that their neighborhoods are taking on the overwhelming brunt of the problem, with 70 of the 193 migrant shelters popping up in that borough alone. City Councilwoman Vickie Paladino, who represents District 19 in Northeast Queens, has been among the most vocal critics of the shelter plan and sanctuary city designation, and she joined Len and Michael this week to share her thoughts...and certainly didn’t pull any punches!
What has been behind the media lies about President Biden’s mental acuity? Journalist Liz Peek discussed the blinders that are slowly being ripped off the mainstream media with Mark this week.
Conservative commentator Ann Coulter joined Mark this week to talk about how all of the headlines about Joe Biden have made this a great week for Republicans. Plus: who will replace Biden at the top of the Democratic ticket?
