The historic Waverly Inn on Bank Street – whose past and present visitors include boldfaced names from Robert Frost to Taylor Swift – was visited by a bougie burglar overnight, police said.

A sticky-fingered male intruder struck the famed West Village eatery between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. Saturday, cops said.

The bandit — who entered through a window leading to the kitchen — made off with $3,000 in cash, $1,200 in wine and liquor, credit cards and the cash register for good measure, the NYPD said.

“Items were taken from behind the counter as well as from the basement and a safe,” a police source said.

The crime connoisseur pilfered 10 bottles of wines valued at $800 and six bottles of liquor valued at $400, cops said.

Asked what types of spirits were lifted, the police source quipped, “Cabernet, 1923!”

    There have been no arrests.

Two suspects were caught on video, said Emil Varda, the famed hotspot’s managing partner.

“The police have suspects on the camera. We are still assessing the loss,” Varda told The Post.

“That’s so crazy that someone would break in there – I thought their security system would be, like, more legit,” said a 26-year-old woman who only gave the name Caroline, who lives in the neighborhood. “You see pictures of celebrities going there all the time. … I haven’t been yet but I would love to go. Maybe I should go support them now,” she said with a laugh.

Valerio C., the manager at L’Antica, an Italian restaurant on the corner of Bank Street and Greenwich Avenue, lamented, “Some crazy things have started happening in the neighborhood lately. Like two days ago a woman got punched in the face.”

“It’s never nice to get broken into and robbed,” he added. “And especially when you live in a neighborhood where the rents are high, you want to be more protected than that.”

Dana Turner, 40, a real estate agent who works in West Village, said she’s “spent many fabulous nights at the Waverly Inn,” which is co-owned by former powerhouse Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter.

Turner, who back in the day rubbed shoulders there with the likes of superstar singer Beyonce and actor Val Kilmer, grumbled, “What a shame. And this is one of the nicest streets in the city.”
