NEW YORK (PIX11) — While families are on summer vacation, the New York City Council is looking for ways to ensure there are enough early education seats for the upcoming school year.

The city has invested $100 million to open more pre-k and 3-k seats , but leaders of the City Council say the issue extends beyond funding.
