Fans Unite In Agreement On Caitlin Clark After Sabrina Ionescu’s Career Game

On Tuesday, Sabrina Ionescu and the New York Liberty defeated Alyssa Thomas and the Connecticut Sun 82-74 at Barclays Center. The Liberty moved to 21-4 in the 2024 WNBA season, while the Sun fell to 18-6. Both teams still hold the best two records in the league.

Ionescu had one of the best games of her WNBA career. She recorded 30 points on 7-of-14 shooting and 6-of-11 from three, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

With this stat line , Ionescu joins Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark as the only players this season to reach these numbers in a single game.

Ionescu's 30 points was also the second-highest total she has recorded this year.

Despite the incredible performance, WNBA fans noted that Clark achieved this stat line before Ionescu. They all agreed that Clark reaching these numbers first is significant.

Ionescu and Clark have gone head-to-head four times this season. The former Oregon Ducks star took the first three games, but Clark got her revenge and won the most recent battle.
