    Outdoor sprinkle pool to open at Hudson Yards, with free ice cream handouts

    MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A giant outdoor sprinkle pool will open at Hudson Yards this weekend in celebration of National Ice Cream Day.

    The event is organized by Dippin’ Dots and the Museum of Ice Cream. It’s set to open on July 20 and July 21 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Public Square and Gardens at Hudson Yards.

    Access to the sprinkle pool is free, according to organizers. In addition, attendees can snag one of 20,000 pouches of cotton candy and rainbow ice cream for free.

    Dippin’ Dots will also give away a free mini cup of ice cream at its two New York City locations, 234 West 42nd St. and 24 East 23rd St.
