Celebrate National Ice Cream Day in NYC with Van Leeuwen, Hello Kitty

TRIBECA, Manhattan (PIX11) — Looking for a way to celebrate National Ice Cream Day in New York City?

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream has teamed up with Hello Kitty to make a specialty berry white chocolate flavor, which goes on sale Sunday, National Ice Cream Day.

And customers can give the new, hot pink flavor a taste at Van Leeuwen’s Tribeca location on Greenwich Street. The flavor will be whipped into a milkshake sold with friendship bracelets for the first 100 customers to come between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The Hello Kitty flavor will be sold at most Van Leeuwen scoop shops across the country, and 50% of the proceeds from Hello Kitty sales will go to the nonprofit kindness.org.
