New York Blood Center introduces state-of-the-art blood donation pods

NEW YORK (PIX11) — The New York Blood Center is changing the blood donation experience with its state-of-the-art blood donation pods.

The goal is to provide a more comfortable, efficient donation experience. The pods feature donor beds, a climate-controlled environment, and even access to streaming services, which will make donating blood much easier.

The blood center also reminds individuals that blood can be given every 56 days and platelet donors twice a month.

The pods will be launched in Queens and Hudson Valley locations this month. For more information, click here .
