Madonna’s Twin Daughters Showed off Their Sporty Side in Rare Red-Carpet Appearance

Madonna brought the coolest plus-ones to the Deadpool & Wolverine premiere on Monday night: her twin daughters Estere and Stella! The 11-year-olds made a rare red-carpet appearance with their mom, showing off their sporty side.

The “Material Girl” singer stood in the middle of her two daughters, dressed in an edgy black blazer dress over fishnet tights with matching gloves. She paired the look with black ankle boots and sunglasses, with several silver necklaces on. She had her arms around the twins, who had matching black braids. Estere wore an oversized sports jersey with a maroon scarf, oversized maroon shorts, crew socks, and white sunglasses. Stella stood on her mom’s other side, wearing a similar white sports jersey with baggy jeans and sneakers. She wore a blue cap with a white scarf over it and had a stack of bracelets on both arms. Everyone looked fabulous, with their own individual styles.

The trio also posed with the film’s stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, who both looked dapper in black suits. Madonna’s other children, Lourdes, 27, who she shares with ex Carlos Leon, Rocco, 23, with ex Guy Ritchie, and 18-year-olds David and Mercy, who were adopted from Malawi like Estere and Stella, were not in attendance.

The Grammy winner wasn’t just a fan of the film — she also contributed to it as well. She granted permission to use her song “Like a Prayer” in the film. In an interview with Good Morning America on Monday, Reynolds said talking to Madonna was a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

“She doesn’t license songs — particularly ‘Like a Prayer’ — like that. And I was so nervous, partly because it’s Madonna,” he explained.

Reynolds revealed that he asked her team what to call her prior to the meeting. “Do I say, ‘Madonna’? Do I bow? Is blinking insulting? Tell me what to do here as I go in,” he joked. Turning serious, he added, “This song had been in my head for six years. Since we just finished ‘Deadpool 2’ I’ve been thinking about this song for a specific sequence that appears in this movie, so I went in just on my back foot. I was so nervous that it would be a ‘no.’ But Madonna was gracious. And not only gracious, but she gave us an idea, or a thought that she had musically with a piece in the movie that ended up being like a game changer.”

“Who knew Madonna of all people have a genius-level understanding of music and its application to pop culture?” he quipped.

And then to show up on the red carpet with her twins to support the film? Talk about the greatest seal of approval ever!
