Madonna, 65, dazzles in daring ensemble at New York film premiere with daughters

Madonna made a surprise appearance at the premiere of Deadpool and Wolverine , catching everyone's attention.

The 65-year-old pop icon graced the red carpet in New York City for the highly anticipated film starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as the titular characters. Madonna was there to support the film, which features her 1989 hit Like a Prayer. Never one to shy away from bold fashion choices, Madonna wore a black blazer mini dress with a plunging neckline that revealed a sexy black lace bralette and dangling silver chain necklaces.

The Vogue singer paired her outfit with fishnet tights and heeled leather boots, as she completed the look with her signature sunglasses. Madonna didn't come alone to the premiere, she brought along her twin daughters Estere and Stella, 11. They joined her for photos with stars Ryan and Hugh as well as the director Shawn Levy.

Estere looked stylish in a white football jersey, burgundy three-quarter-length jeans, white sneakers, a burgundy leopard print headband, and sunglasses. Stella also showcased her fashion sense in a white oversized button-up baseball shirt with the word Brooklyn written in blue, grey baggy jeans, a matching blue cap, colorful bands, silver bracelets. Both carried a black purse on the carpet.

In a July 19 interview with SiriusXM, Ryan, Hugh and director Shawn disclosed how they got permission to use the hitmaker's track for the film.

"It did involve a personal visit to Madonna where we showed Madonna the sequence where Like a Prayer would be used," Shawn began, telling the story.

"It was a big deal to ask for it and certainly a bigger deal to use it," Ryan said. "We went over and met with her and sort of showed her how it was being used, and where, and why."

The Adam Project actor shared how Madonna "gave a great note" in how the song should be used and they ended up using it in the movie. "She watched it, and I’m not kidding, just was like 'You need to do this, this, and this, in this moment,' And damn it if she wasn’t like, spot on."

Shawn added that it helped that Madonna's son is a fan of the Deadpool franchise which aided in getting Like a Prayer cleared in the third Deadpool installment. Madonna, in addition to the kids, is a mother to four other children (six in total). Her other children are Lourdes, 27, Rocco, 24, David, 18, and Mercy, 18. Estere and Stella were born in Malawi on Aug 24, 2012 and adopted by the singer like their other siblings David and Mercy.
