    Take your child to a free show as Kids' Night on Broadway returns

    Kids' Night on Broadway returns Tuesday, Aug. 20.

    The program, propelled by the Broadway League, allows children 18 and under to attend a Broadway show for free when accompanied by an adult paying full price. The offer is applied as 50 percent off each ticket when purchased as a pair.

    Nineteen shows are taking part in the promotion.

    ​"Kids' Night on Broadway ... [creates] a wonderful occasion for children, teens and families to experience a night out in New York City and enjoy a Broadway show," said Jason Laks, interim president of The Broadway League, in a news release. "Featuring a variety of 19 extraordinary shows, Kids’ Night on Broadway creates an opportunity to introduce younger audiences to live theater and cultivate their interest and enjoyment of the arts from an early age."

    • "& Juliet"
    • "Back to the Future: The Musical"
    • "Chicago"
    • "The Great Gatsby" (taking place Wednesday, Aug. 21)
    • "Hadestown"
    • "Hamilton"
    • "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child"
    • "Hell’s Kitchen"
    • "The Lion King"
    • "MJ"
    • "Moulin Rouge! The Musical"
    • "The Notebook"
    • "Once Upon a Mattress"
    • "The Outsiders"
    • "SIX"
    • "Suffs"
    • "Water for Elephants"
    • "Wicked"

    In addition to the ticket offer, Kids’ Night on Broadway also includes in-theater special activities like talkbacks, sing-alongs, art projects, activity books and more, depending on the show.

    Audience members attending their first Broadway show can obtain a special sticker at participating theaters.
